FITA Press é a casa editorial da instituição cultural FITA - Friends In The Arts. Dedica-se à publicação de obras literárias, do romance à poesia, e académicas, da monografia aos estudos interdisciplinares, movendo-se na constelação das Artes e Humanidades. Produz livros, revistas e catálogos, que ecoam as vozes de escritores, artistas e investigadores internacionais, construindo uma ponte entre o gesto e a memória.  A FITA Press constitui um arquivo transversal, que convoca o diálogo entre culturas e o avanço do conhecimento.

Nestas aventuras reais ou imaginárias, não existe tempo nem espaço, tudo é possível, basta ter um mapa cronológico à mão. Pelo caminho, encontra cavaleiros famintos por banquetes, jornalistas sem inspiração, artistas irreverentes e arqueólogos de fama ímpar. À medida que se transforma num ser novo e mitológico, funde-se o realismo mágico com o mundano. Agora, o destino está traçado, o narrador parece condenado a usar para sempre óculos de massa, barba por aparar e uma máquina de escrever antiquada. Se a vossa pena está afiada, o cavalo aparelhado e trazem no olhar o eco do desafio, podem partir a galope, rumo ao intrépido Oeste Hipster, mas lembrem-se: a cada esquina espreita a ameaça da inveja e do plágio. Todos nos perdemos neste lugar de lendas ancestrais, onde a cultura underground floresce.


The author travels through the intricacies of the old Hipster West, between the alleys of the independent and craft beer. On his travels through Japan, Denmark, England, and Italy, he gains a new identity, makes friends, and discovers artefacts and creatures that could change the course of History. In these real or imaginary adventures, there is no time or space, everything is possible, you just need to have a chronological map at hand. Along the way, he encounters knights hungry for banquets, uninspired journalists, irreverent artists, and archaeologists of unparalleled fame. As he transforms into a new and mythological being, magical realism merges with the mundane. Now that his destiny is set, the narrator seems doomed to forever wear thick glasses, an unshaven beard, and an old-fashioned typewriter. If your pen is sharp, your horse is saddled, and your eyes reflect the echo of challenge, you can gallop off towards the intrepid Hipster West, but remember: the threat of envy and plagiarism lurks around every corner. We are all lost in this place of ancient legends, where underground culture flourishes.


Biografia do Autor / Author Biography

Francisco Teles da Gama nasceu na vila da Batalha. É Licenciado em História, Mestre em História Medieval e Doutorando em História da Arte, pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, com uma bolsa da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. Investigador no ARTIS - Instituto de História da Arte da FLUL e na Red Europea de Investigación del Tardogótico. Desenvolveu trabalho de arquivo e investigação em vários museus e monumentos, como a Peggy Guggenheim Collection, o Mosteiro da Batalha, o Museu de Lisboa, entre outros. Integrou a comissão para a candidatura de Leiria a Capital Europeia da Cultura 2027. Encontram os seus artigos, contos e poemas em várias revistas e jornais, como o Observador e o Evelyn Waugh Studies. É fundador e diretor da FITA – Friends In The Arts e editor da revista internacional de artes e cultura FITA Magazine, com o Alto Patrocínio do Presidente da República. Foi o diretor musical de todas as edições do festival FITA Kiosk. Coordenou o Prémio International FITA Awards of Literature, que deu origem à obra Retrato do Artista Quando Escreve (2022). O seu poema Soneto Espelhado do Poeta Eterno, integrado na peça The Banquet of Eternity, esteve em exposição no Pavilhão da Croácia, na Bienal de Veneza de 2024. No mesmo ano, publicou o romance de estreia Cantiga para Poeta em Águas-Furtadas.

Francisco Teles da Gama was born in the town of Batalha. He holds a degree in History, a Master's degree in Medieval History and is currently pursuing a PhD in Art History at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, with a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology. He is a researcher at ARTIS - Institute of Art History at FLUL and at the Red Europea de Investigación del Tardogótico. He has carried out archival and research work in various museums and monuments, such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Batalha Monastery, the Museum of Lisbon, among others. Francisco was a member of the committee for Leiria's bid to become European Capital of Culture 2027. His articles, short stories and poems can be found in various magazines and newspapers, such as Observador and Evelyn Waugh Studies. He is the founder and director of FITA - Friends In The Arts and editor of the international arts and culture  publication FITA Magazine, under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic. He was the musical director of all editions of the FITA Kiosk festival. He coordinated the International FITA Awards of Literature, which gave rise to the book Portrait of the Artist as a Writer (2022). His poem Soneto Espelhado do Poeta Eterno (Mirror Sonnet of the Eternal Poet), part of the artwork The Banquet of Eternity, was on display at the Croatian Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale. In the same year, Francisco published his debut novel Cantiga para Poeta em Águas-Furtadas (Song for Poet in Attic).
