Sofia Pessoa Jorge é artista plástica, tem 28 anos e estudou Desenho e Pintura no ArCo, Lisboa, após um curso anual de Desenho e outro de Pintura na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.

Em 2021, realizou um curso de Retrato de 1 mês em Florença, no Charles H. Cecil Studios. 

Atualmente a residir em Oeiras, tem como material de eleição o óleo e acrílico. Recentemente, tem procurado aumentar a escala dos suportes com que trabalha, explorando o desenho de paisagens, quer seja através de registos in situ, ou de memórias.

O ser Humano aparece fazendo parte da paisagem, estando os dois motivos interligados no seu trabalho, tema recorrente nas suas exposições.

Sofia Pessoa Jorge is a 28-year-old visual artist. She studied Drawing and Painting at ArCo in Lisbon, after completing a one-year course in Drawing and another in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto.

In 2021, Beatriz Pessoa Jorge took a one-month course in Portraiture in Florence at Charles H. Cecil Studios.

Currently residing in Oeiras, her preferred materials are oil and acrylic. Recently, she has sought to increase the scale of the media she works with, exploring landscape drawing, whether through in situ records or memories.

Human beings appear as part of the landscape, with the two motifs intertwined in her work, a recurring theme in her exhibitions.
