Sebastião Castelo Lopes lives and works in Lisbon. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2015), a Master's degree in Design from Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London (2016), and a Doctorate in Design from the Faculty o Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2023).

His artistic career includes exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Morocco, India, and Italy.

He has collaborated with various institutions and galleries, such as Galeria Foco, Galeria Monumental, Galeria Helder Alfaiate, and Fundação Bienal de Arte de Cerveira, and has also participated in the Lisbon-Budapest artist residency program promoted by the Municipality of Lisbon.

His work is included in public and private collections, notably the Municipality of Loures, the Budapest History Museum, the Millennium BCP Foundation, and the Cascais Cultural Center.

Sebastião Castelo Lopes was honored with the Acquisition Award Millennium BCP in Drawing Room Lisbon 2019.
